FREE Classes from HP

HP is offering free classes on an array of subjects, from digital photography and using photoshop to Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. I think this is an excellent resource for anyone wanting to either brush up on already learned skills or to learn a new one. HP has stated they will be moving it to a new site, but that the courses will continue to be free. Until June 18th you can find the classes HERE. On June 18th and forward you can find them HERE.

FREE Books for the Kids This Summer

Half Price Books and Barnes & Noble are making sure our kids read this summer!

Half Price Books:
For every week that your child reads at least 15 minutes per day, they can receive a $3 HPB shopping card. Just visit your location to pick up a reading log to keep track. Go HERE to read about that.

Okay, so you've already read my post about free movies at Regal Cinemas this summer...well AMC Loews has a $1 movie at 10am every Wednesday through summer. This is a good option if you don't want to see what Regal is playing. Furthermore, all the $1 admissions go to charity.

I am not a fan of the ValPak...as I believe that it wastes a lot of paper, kills a lot of trees, and rarely contains anything I find of value. Now what makes this worth saving is the fact that you can use it for Buca To Go. Seattle Art Museum FREE Admission

Before going to EMP, take a trip to the Seattle Art Museum, also for free the first Thursday of the month (all day). Access to special exhibits included in this free admission, so save your $15 general admission plus whatever they are asking for the current special exhibit and just go the first Thursday of any month.

I find these free museum trips to be really handy during summer or spring breaks for the kids. =)
